On March 21st, many of Italy's top chefs will join forces to prepare what guarantees to be an unforgettable meal. Beginning early in the morning, the kitchen brigades will descend upon Villa Cantalupa in Brusaporto (Bergamo) in honor of the 7th annual “Il Gusto per la Ricerca,” a culinary event that benefits pediatric research. Hosted by Bobo and Chicco Cerea, the chefs of Da Vittorio restaurant, this year's fundraiser will be prepared by our beloved Massimiliano Alajmo; Annie Feolde, Italo Bassi and Riccardo Monco from Enoteca Pinchiorri di Firenze; Pino Cuttaia from La Madia restaurant in Licata (AG); Gianluca Fusto, maître chocolatier; Paolo Lopriore from Il Canto restaurant at Hotel Certosa di Maggiano in Siena; and Mauro Uliassi of Uliassi restaurant in Senigallia (AN). Throughout the event, autographed chefs's jackets and other culinary collectables will be auctioned off by Italian food critic Davide Paolini, a.k.a. the Gastronauta. Tickets to the event start a 650 euro per person and reservations can be made by calling +39 334 7810509.

The proceeds from the 2010 event will go to the Città della Speranza Foundation at the Pediatrics Department of the “Salus Pueri” hospital group of Padua and to the Casa di Padre Aldo of Bergamo, a shelter for mothers and children, operated by the Exodus di Don Mazzi Foundation.
